Roman Chamomile diluted in Jojoba oil

Anthemis nobilis

Certified Organic

Flowers, Steam Distilled, United Kingdom

Roman Chamomile is anti-inflammatory and highly useful for irritated skin conditions such as rashes, burns and eczema. It is an anti-depressant and calming to the central nervous system. It also relieves symptoms of shock as well as insomnia. It can be used as a digestive stimulant, particularly effective for constipation. If mixed with vegetable oil, it can bring relief to sore gums and teething babies.

Roman Chamomile essential oil is comprised of mostly esters, around 80%; esters are known and widely used for their soothing, calming effects2,3 and they determine the character of our exceptionally fine Roman Chamomile from the US. Please note that the essential oil of Roman Chamomile is strongly aromatic, so it should be used sparingly.

Roman Chamomile is sought after by the makers of cosmetics and body care products as well as natural perfumers. It is also found in high-end perfumes and blends well with the same class of oils as German Blue Chamomile. Our very nice Roman Chamomile essential oil is one we highly recommend!

Aromatic Profile: Powerfully diffusive, fresh, sweet-warm fruity/herbal aroma with green apple peels and pear-like notes; has a beautifully balanced drydown.

Appearance: Colorless to pale yellow (very pale blue or green when first distilled4), clear, transparent, mobile liquid.

Use: Aromatherapy / Natural perfumery.

Blending Suggestions: Dilute well and add drop by drop to your blends until the desired effect is achieved.

Blends Well With:  Angelica, Bergamot, Cistus, Clary Sage, Geranium, Jasmine, Labdanum, Lavender, Lemon, Marjoram, Neroli, Oakmoss, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Rose, Ylang Ylang. “It [Roman Chamomile] is mainly a trace additive [and] imparts a warm, yet fresh note and a natural depth which is difficult to obtain by other means.”5
