Clove oil is generally used as a highly diluted application externally for muscular aches and pains. Clove was one of the first oils used in dentistry for toothaches, and also has a long history of use for wart removal. It is generally applied externally, greatly diluted, as an application for rheumatism and arthritis. It has a broad spectrum of antibacterial properties.
Aromatic Profile: Spicy, warm and sweet.
Appearance: Pale yellow
Other Uses: A valuable aromatherapy aid with a unique aroma used historically in dentistry and oral care.
Blending Suggestions: Dilute well and add drop by drop to blends until desired effect is achieved.
Blends Well With: Rose, Lavender, Clary Sage, Bay Leaf, Ylang Ylang, Vanilla
Safety Considerations: May cause skin or mucous membrane irritation if undiluted. Avoid use during pregnancy.
