This particular leaf may be used as a juice, infusion or tincture. The leaves can be eaten in salads or along with other detoxifying greens. Dandelion leaf is used for fluid retention such as edema, as well as in hypertension. It also treats chronic aphthous stomatis with acne, jaundice, constipation, mouth sores, shigellosis and rids white blotchy film from the tongue. Studies have proven the effectiveness of this herb as a diuretic. Dosage is 30-60 drops up to 4 times/day, or as a standard infusion 3-6 ounces as needed.
