Blue Chamomile or German Chamomile is an anti-inflammatory oil that works fast to heal skin inflammations, burns, and allergic reactions (including allergic rashes). Chamomile is a wonderful calming oil. It is a beneficial herb to use for calming the nervous system and is used for aiding in anxiety, irriabiltiy, stress, and insomnia. Chamomile is also a useful herb to aid in relieving spasm and digestive discomfort.

Our beautiful organic German Blue Chamomile essential oil, with its deep blue color, has a warm, sweet, full-bodied herbaceous aroma. Its color is attributed to chamazulene which is formed by the heat of the distillation process from the parent chemical matricine, a constituent found in the raw plant material, specifically the flowers.1 Chamazulene is a sesquiterpene component of German Blue Chamomile; (-)α-bisabolol, a sesquiterpene alcohol, is also present in this essential oil and is considered to be the primary active constituent in German Blue Chamomile.2,3  According to Kurt Schnaubelt, this essential oil is fast acting and “is especially user-friendly because it is absolutely nontoxic and can be used in an emergency in its undiluted form.”4
