Lavender-Spike is a species of Lavender that relieves congestion, and is most effective when combined with the linalol chemotype of Thyme for use as an expectorant-antiviral mixture to be massaged into skin. It can be used as a massage oil (when added to a carrier oil of your choice), as well as a bath for sports-related soreness and injuries.
Culpeper recommends Lavender-Spike for a varity of ailments including, "pains of the head and brain which proceedfrom cold, apoplexy, falling sickness, the dropsy, or sluggish malady, cramps, convulsions, palsies and often faintings. The oil of Lavender-Spike ought to be carefully used,a very few drops being sufficient for inward or outward maladies." (1) (2)

Blending Suggestions: Dilute well and add drop by drop to blends until desired effect is achieved
Blends Well With: Rosemary, Sage, Eucalyptus, Oakmoss, Clove, Pine, Patchouli, Cedarwood
Safety Considerations: Non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitizing.Avoid if blood pressure is extremely low.
