Tangerine can be used internally as a digestive stimulant for a variety of issues. It is antispasmodic and helps control belching and flatulence. It is used externally to help break down cellulite and pockets of fat. Tangerine also helps stimulate drainage of the lymphatic system. 

Originating in China, the first Tangerine seedlings to be planted in the U.S. were apparently propagated by Col. G L Dancy about 1871 in the southern states of America, thus this fruit is sometimes known as the Dancy Tangerine. It is antiseptic, 

Our Murcott Tangerine is a delightful Tangerine essential oil. Sweet and with a more subtle aroma than Mandarin, Murcott Tangerine essential oil is said to promote happiness and have a positive effect on cellulite and stretch marks. This oil is also a favorite with children. Pregnant women can safely dilute and apply topically to help prevent stretch marks. 

Tangerine essential oil is useful for improving circulation and reducing fluid retention. It also seems to have a gentle, soothing action on the nervous system and so is helpful for stress and tension. It has a calming effect, helping with anxiety, depression, worry attacks, nervousness. Use with care and in dilution as citrus oils can be phototoxic.

Aromatic Profile: Sweet, tangy, fresh citrus. 

Uses: Skin, nervous system, dry scalp, weight loss, spasms, blood purifier

Blending Suggestions: Dilute well and add drop by drop to blends until desired effect is achieved

Blends Well With: Bergamot, Lavender, Grapefruit, Palmarosa

Safety Considerations: Has GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe), do a patch test before using.
