Calendula oil is the infused oil of the Marigold plant and is an antiseptic used to relieve lymphatic congestion and inflammation. Calendula heals skin wounds, rashes, bites and is a relaxing when used in massage oil.  It is traditionally used to aid in the healing of dry or damaged skin. Calendula is a beneficial herb to use for healing and moisturizing the skin.

Calendula CO2 is a very beneficial and calming oil for the skin with a waxy, warm and subtle green/herbaceous scent. It makes a welcome addition to body and bath preparations due to its nourishing and soothing properties and warm, comforting aroma. Calendula CO2 is extracted from Calendula officinalis, commonly known as pot marigold, and is not to be confused with true marigold – Tagetes minuta, T. bipinata – from which comes the essential oil known as Tagetes.

Storage Suggestions: We recommend that this oil be stored in a refrigerator and used within 1-2 years of the purchase date.

Blending Suggestions: For a massage oil, we suggest combining 5% Calendula CO2 with 95% of another carrier oil, or a combination of other carrier oils, such as Sunflower Oil - Organic, Jojoba Oil, Golden - Organic, or Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Appearance: Viscous, waxy, bright red/orange substance. Solid at room temperature and requires special use instructions to blend.

Safety Considerations: Dilute before using. A patch test should be performed before use for those with sensitive skin.
