Lemon Balm, also known as Melissa,  is one of the strongest anti-viral remedies in aromatherapy, and it makes a wonderful topical treatment for herpes and cold sores. It is also know for its effect on the emotional heart relieving sadness, depression, anxiety, and shock. It also helps those with blood pressure, headaches, insomnia, menstrual problems, lung congestion, muscle spasms and indigestion. Itis also an effective remedy for wasp and bee stings. 

Lemon Balm is one of the earliest known medicinal herbs-Paracelsus called it the 'Elixir of Life'.It was known for strengthening and reviving the spirit as well as treating anxiety disorders and the emotional heart. It is an antidepressant, antihistamine, antispasmodic, bactericidal, carminative, diaphoretic, nervine, sedative and tonic.

Appearance: pale yellow

Blending Suggestions: Dilute well and add drop by drop to your blends until desired effect is achieved

Blends Well With: Lavender, Geranium, Rose, Bergamot
