Spearmint is valued all over the world as a culinary herb. The ancient Greeks used Spearmint in their bathwater in order to bring restoration to the body. Spearmint is a great natural remedy for many kinds of ailments. It can be used gently and safely as a digestive remedy, for blood circulation, as a wound healing disinfectant (external and internal) and for easing discomfort during menstrual cycle. It is useful for headaches, asthma, fevers, oral hygiene, and as an overall relief from stress. This is a beautiful organic spearmint and highly recommended. Better suited for pregnant women and children's formulas than peppermint as it is milder in action.
As a stimulant, the scent counters depression, anxiety, insomnia, shock, mental fatigue and fogginess. Other actions of Spearmint include local anaesthetic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, decongestant, expectorant, nervine and tonic.
