Tarragon oil is gentle oil and can be used topically to treat shock, cramps, and tense muscles. It stimulates secretion of digestive juices, is calming to the nervous system, improves circulation and can clear toxins from the joints. Tarragon is somewhat photosensitizing and therefore caution should be used when applying prior to sun exposure.
Actions of Tarragon include: antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, digestive, diuretic, emmenagogue, hypnotic, stimulant, stomachic and vermifuge.
Aromatic Profile: Sweet-anisic, spicy-green scent
Appearance: Colourless or pale yellow mobile liquid
Other Uses: Fragrance component in soaps, detergents, cosmetics and perfumes.
Blending Suggestions: Dilute well and add drop by drop to your blends until desired effect is achieved.
Blends Well With: Lavender, Oakmoss, Vanilla, Pine and Basil
Safety Considerations: Moderately toxic due to 'estragole'. Use in moderation only. Avoid during pregnancy.
